  • Review how the current societal changes due to COVID have impacted the levels of anxiety in children and teens
  • Develop easy-to-implement strategies for reducing student anxiety and negative thinking
  • Describe ways to increase self-regulation, accurate thinking, engagement, and self-monitoring.

  • Explore key brain regions that are impacted when students experience stress and trauma, and the subsequent effect on social skills development
  • Review five essential steps toward the development of a "trauma-informed" school
  • Discuss the impact of the pandemic on the social-emotional needs of children and teens
